Wuling and Automotive Media Explore the Southern Coast of Java Island with the Eksion

This media drive serves as an opportunity to explore the comfort of the Wuling Eksion through the ‘Exploring Family Journeys’ experience
Yogyakarta, June 8, 2026 – Wuling Motors (Wuling) engaged 36 automotive journalists in the second batch of the Wuling Eksion ‘Exploring Family Journeys’ Media Drive, held from June 8–10, 2026. On this occasion, media participants will begin their journey from Morazen Yogyakarta to Jakarta via the Yogyakarta – Pangandaran – Bandung route, covering more than 580 kilometers to experience firsthand the driving experience of the Wuling Eksion Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV). A total of 9 units of the Wuling Eksion PHEV EX variant accompany the media participants throughout the journey. 
“The second batch of this media drive is designed to deliver an enjoyable family travel exploration experience through the diverse road characteristics found along the southern coast of Java island. With a route that combines urban roads, the southern Java corridor, and intercity toll roads, participants can directly experience how the Wuling Eksion supports various family travel needs through cabin comfort, flexible storage space, and a range of features that enhance long-distance journeys,” said Aji Ibrahim, Product Planning at Wuling Motors.
The second batch of the media drive carries the theme Coastal Exploration Journey, which is divided into three stages: Yogyakarta–Pangandaran on the first day, Pangandaran–Bandung on the second day, and Bandung–Jakarta on the final stage. This route was selected as it offers a variety of scenic southern Java coastal views as well as diverse road characteristics that provide a unique driving experience in each stage.
During the journey from Morazen Yogyakarta to Pangandaran, participants will travel along the southern coastal route of Java, featuring natural beach scenery and stretches of coastline throughout the route. The panoramic sunroof available on the Wuling Eksion PHEV EX variant further enhances the exploration experience by providing wider visibility for all passengers to enjoy the scenery during the journey to Pangandaran.
In addition to the panoramic sunroof, the EX variant used in this media drive is also equipped with various premium features such as a power tailgate, ventilated first-row seats, electric front passenger seat adjustment, a 50W wireless phone charger, Adaptive Cruise Control, and the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). These features are designed to deliver greater comfort, practicality, and safety throughout family journeys.
Wuling also presents the Ultimate Packing Challenge and Journey Content Challenge as part of the activities during the media drive. Through these challenges, participants are invited to explore the flexibility of the cabin space and the luggage capacity of the Wuling Eksion, which reaches up to 1,788 liters when the second- and third-row seats are folded flat, while also documenting their experiences throughout the journey.
“Through the Ultimate Packing Challenge and Journey Content Challenge, media participants not only have the opportunity to explore the cabin and luggage capacity of the Wuling Eksion, but also experience how the available features can support family travel needs in various situations. Through this media drive, automotive media participants have the opportunity to experience directly various aspects that make the Wuling Eksion an ideal companion for family journeys, ranging from cabin comfort and flexible storage space to the premium features available in the EX variant.
