Pioneer of Electric Vehicle of the Year and Best Urban Electric Vehicle of the Year for Wuling and New Air ev
Semarang, November 7, 2025 – Wuling Motors (Wuling) has once again strengthened its position as a pioneer of electric vehicles in Indonesia by winning two prestigious awards at the 2025 Satria Brand Award (SBA) ‘Merek Pilihan Jawa Tengah. The award ceremony, organized by Suara Merdeka Network (SNN), took place today at the Padma Hotel in Semarang. Wuling received two awards: ‘Pioneer of Vehicle of The Year’ for the Wuling brand and ‘Best Urban Electric Vehicle of The Year’ for the Wuling New Air ev.

The 2025 Satria Brand Award is an annual recognition event honoring brands that have successfully built trust and loyalty among consumers in Central Java. This year, SBA carries the theme Central Java’s Choice Brands, symbolizing appreciation for brands that actively contribute to creating a positive impact on society and supporting industrial development in the region.
The Pioneer of Electric Vehicle of the Year award was given to Wuling for its role as a pioneer of electric vehicles in Indonesia. Since introducing the Air ev in 2022, Wuling has become the first brand to pave the way for affordable electric vehicles that are accessible to more people. The presence of Air EV has become an important milestone that popularizes the era of electrification and Wuling already has many electric car product lines for the Indonesian market, namely Wuling Air ev, BinguoEV, Cloud EV, Mitra EV, and Darion.
Furthermore, the title of Best Urban Electric Vehicle of the Year was won by New Air ev, which was considered the most ideal vehicle for urban use. Its compact size, maneuverability on narrow roads, and operational cost efficiency—requiring approximately IDR 29,000 to IDR 45,000 for a range of 200-300 kilometers. This makes the New Air ev a vehicle suitable for everyday use, in line with its slogan, ‘Your Everyday Vehicle’.
A brief overview of the Wuling New Air ev, this electric car now comes with the elegant new Starry Black exterior color. Moreover, the Tamarind Sunset interior, inspired by tamarind fruit, creates a warm and comfortable atmosphere. A futuristic touch is also evident in the more aerodynamic Wheel Cap design. To meet various mobility needs, the New Air ev is available in two variants, Pro and Lite, providing more flexible options for consumers
These two awards from the 2025 Satria Brand Award further solidify Wuling’s position as the pioneer and market leader in Indonesia’s electric vehicle segment.
