Wuling Showcases Various Mitra EV Bodywork (Karoseri) Variants Under the Theme “One Partner, Many Solutions (Satu Rekan, Banyak Solusi)”

Featuring EV ambulance, electric microtrans, and food truck models during the business preview session
Cikarang, July 11, 2025 – As part of its 8th anniversary celebrations in Indonesia, Wuling Motors today revealed three bodywork (karoseri) commercial electric vehicles by Mitra EV, demonstrating the vehicle’s versatility. The showcased vehicles include an EV ambulance developed with Ambulance Pintar Indonesia (API), an electric mikrotrans (public minibus) in partnership with PT Asian Auto International (AAI), and a food truck built by Karoseri Delima Mandiri for SMEs. The presence of these three karoseri demonstrates Mitra EV’s flexibility in supporting cross-sector mobility, ranging from public services, public transportation, to culinary businesses, through efficient and modern solutions.
“These three customized Mitra EVs highlight how Wuling’s commercial EV can serve operational needs across multiple sectors. We are optimistic that sustainable mobility benefits not just passenger vehicles, but also businesses across healthcare, public transit, and small- to mid-sized enterprises,” said Danang Wiratmoko, Product Communication Manager at Wuling Motors.
The three karoseri units on display consist of the Wuling Mitra EV ‘Service Partner’ (Mitra Pelayanan) which was made by Ambulance Pintar Indonesia (API), a company specializing in ambulances, ambulance care, and donations. Then, the Wuling Mitra EV ‘Business Partner’ (Mitra Usaha), which was made by Delima Mandiri, a company engaged in the assembly of motor vehicle bodies (bodywork), has been working in Indonesia since 1996. Then, the Wuling Mitra EV ‘Transportation Partner’ (Mitra Transportasi) of PT Asia Auto Internasional, which is a leading manufacturer of bus chassis and bodywork, and is known as AAI (Aku Anak Indonesia).
The first bodywork of the car is ‘Mitra Pelayanan’, which is the result of Wuling’s collaboration with Ambulance Pintar Indonesia (API) to develop an EV ambulance based on Mitra EV. This collaboration combines elements of concern for improving health services and preserving the environment. Go Green ambulances are designed using electric vehicles and equipped with standard emergency medical equipment to ensure optimal health services.
Moving on to the second vehicle bodywork, ‘Mitra Usaha’, which was made with a background to support micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). On this occasion, Mitra EV received a car body touch from Delima Mandiri to become a food truck that has been adapted to the needs of its user restaurant, Bakmi Tjap 1000 Tahun. It is hoped that this collaboration can be the right choice in advancing the business. The bodywork done on this Mitra EV includes a cooking area on the outside of the vehicle, a service table with digital TV, open storage, awnings, and folding chairs for customers. On the roof, there is a multifunctional roof rack that can also be used as promotional media. This initiative opens up new opportunities for culinary entrepreneurs who need flexible and energy-efficient operational vehicles.
Wuling also collaborated with PT Asian Auto International (AAI) to develop the Mitra EV into an electric public transportation (angkot) or electric microtrans. This ‘Mitra Transportasi’ is designed to facilitate public mobility by providing affordable and interconnected transportation options. The interior features a face-to-face seating configuration for 11 passengers and 1 emergency seat. With a gangway width of approximately 600 mm and a cabin equipped with an air conditioning system (AC), passengers will be more comfortable. Meanwhile, the floor is coated with fire-resistant and anti-slip materials. Thus, the Mitra EV proves its readiness as a modern, comfortable, and sustainable public transportation solution.
