Wuling Motors Inaugurates the Indonesia-China Automotive Education and Training Center in Karawang

Jakarta, 29 January 2016 – Wuling Motors inaugurated the Indonesia-China Automotive Education and Training Center, located in a vocational school, SMKN 1 Karawang, on January 27, 2016. The education and training center was established in partnership between SMKN 1 Karawang, Wuling Motors, and Liuzhou City Vocational College (LCVC). The establishment of this center is aiming to improve the capacity and capability of the school’s graduates. This program is part of the Company’s commitment in contributing to the growth of the Indonesian economy through the development of human resources.
For this program, in the near future, Wuling Motors will contribute car engines, workshop gear and tools that are required inside the workshop. The selected graduates will also entitle to join an internship program in Wuling Motors for one year. Meanwhile, LCVC will focus on transferring knowledge by conducting teachers training in order to improve the capacity and capability of SMKN 1 Karawang’s teachers.

Wuling Motors President Xu Feiyun said at the inauguration, “We are very honored to partner with Karawang City Education Agency and SMKN 1 Karawang to establish Indonesia-China Automotive Education and Training Center. We hope we can immediately share our knowledge and experience to the students, especially on the automotive technology. Though our Company was just existed in Indonesia for about half year, we are very committed to help growing the automotive industry in Indonesia.”
Karawang City Education Agency Head Drs. H. Dadan Sugardan, M.Pd. gave warm welcome to the Company’s initiative. Dadan said, “We are very pleased to see that Wuling Motors is giving attention to Indonesian vocational students, especially the ones in Karawang. We are optimistic that this program will help cultivating the students’ skills, so they can compete with others with higher education.” The inauguration event was also attended by LCVC leadership.

Earlier, Wuling Motors sent a total of 63 scholarship recipients to China to learn technology in a three-year educational program in LCVC. The three-year program will include a two-year academic study at LCVC and a one-year internship in SGMW Motor in China and Wuling Motors.
