Wuling Hands Over Air ev to the Ministry of State Secretary to Support the G20

300 units of Wuling’s first electric car in Indonesia officially served as the Official Car Partner of the G20 Summit
Jakarta, October 26, 2022 – Wuling Motors (Wuling) today realized its commitment to the success of the G20 Summit by holding the Air ev handover ceremony to the Ministry of State Secretary of the Republic of Indonesia in an event entitled ‘Handover Ceremony of The Official Car Partner G20 Indonesia 2022’. The handover ceremony was inaugurated by the symbolic handover of two Air ev units by the President Director of Wuling Motors, Shi Guoyong, to Pratikno as Minister of State Secretary at Plaza Bung Karno, Parkir Selatan GBK, Jakarta. As the Official Car Partner of the G20 Summit, Wuling will deploy 300 units of Air ev consisting of 216 units of the Long Range type and 84 units of the Standard Range type in order to support the mobility of the G20 delegates and international organizations on 15-16 November 2022 in Bali.

This support is realized by providing as many as 300 units of Wuling Air ev which wil be the proponent of environmentally friendly mobility for the delegates and international organizations. This step is also a new milestone for us to contribute for Indonesia and the world towards a greener future through the emission-free vehicle, Wuling Air ev,” Said Shi Guoyong as President Director of Wuling Motors.
During the G20 Summit, Wuling Air ev will be assigned as the official vehicle for the delegations of G20 members, who will come from South Africa, the United States, Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, India, Indonesia, England, Italy, Japan, Germany, Canada, South Korea, Mexico, France, Russia, Turkey, and the European Union. Then, other invited delegates from the United Arab Emirates, the Netherlands, Fiji, Cambodia, Rwanda, Senegal, Singapore, Spain, and Suriname will travel with Air ev.
In addition, this compact electric vehicle will support the mobility needs of various international organizations present at this event, including Asian Development Bank (ADB), Financial Stability Board (FSB), Islamic Development Bank (IDB), International Labor Organization (ILO), International Monetary Fund (IMF), Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), World Health Organization (WHO) to the World Trade Organization (WTO).
Minister of State Secretary, Pratikno, welcomed Wuling’s support for the G20. “The G20 is an important showcase for us to show Indonesia’s seriousness in transitioning to clean energy and Wuling is an important part of the electric car ecosystem in Indonesia. We appreciate Wuling’s support as this will be an important part of the G20,” stated at the opening of the event.
Regarding Wuling Air ev, this electric vehicle highlights the ease of mobility that will enable delegates who drive with Air ev to move freely on the Island of the Gods. Carrying the spirit of ‘Drive For A Green Life’, the use of this zero-emission car also supports a global program to preserve the environment.
