Strengthening domestic manufacturing and supply chains supports the increase in local content value
Jakarta, November 4, 2026 – Wuling Motors (Wuling) continues to strengthen its contribution to Indonesia’s automotive industry by increasing the Domestic Component Level (TKDN). Currently, 5 (five) Wuling vehicle models have achieved a TKDN of 60%, namely the Wuling New BinguoEV, New Cloud EV, Darion EV, Eksion EV, and its latest electric city car, Wuling Aira ev. In line with the spirit of ‘Wuling Dibangun di Indonesia Untuk Anda’, this achievement demonstrates Wuling’s commitment and concrete efforts to develop Indonesia’s automotive industry by strengthening local production processes and increasing the use of domestically sourced components across its vehicle lineup.
“We would like to express our gratitude to all parties who have supported Wuling’s journey in Indonesia from the beginning to the achievement of a 60% TKDN across five Wuling vehicle models. This milestone motivates us to continue strengthening our contribution to the national automotive industry, including through the development of local production processes and electric vehicle battery assembly. We hope these efforts will create added value for Indonesia’s domestic industry while enabling us to deliver products that are increasingly relevant to Indonesian consumers,” said Arif Pramadana, Vice President of Wuling Motors.
The increase in TKDN is part of Wuling’s long-term strategy in Indonesia, implemented gradually and sustainably. These efforts are supported by Wuling’s manufacturing facility in Cikarang, which carries out a comprehensive range of production processes, from Body Shop, Paint Shop, General Assembly, to Quality Check. All these manufacturing processes also involve local workers.
In addition to local production processes, Wuling has also carried out local assembly of electric vehicle batteries, contributing to the increase in Wuling’s TKDN from 40% to 60%. This assembly process involves the use of domestic components, including battery packing, housing, wiring and harness. This initiative reflects Wuling’s commitment to continuously strengthening local manufacturing capabilities for electric vehicles in Indonesia.
Furthermore, the development of domestic supply chains is also part of Wuling’s efforts to strengthen the national automotive industry by involving multiple local suppliers to meet vehicle component requirements, including PT Asahimas Flat Glass, PT Gajah Tunggal Tbk, PT GS Battery, and others. The involvement of these domestic suppliers further strengthens the role of the local automotive component industry within the automotive manufacturing supply chain.
Wuling’s commitment to delivering products that meet the needs of Indonesian consumers is reflected in its diverse vehicle lineup, each offering distinct characteristics and advantages. The New BinguoEV, positioned in the hatchback segment, carries the tagline ‘Be The Icon’, the New Cloud EV, in the medium hatchback segment, features ‘Driving the Future of Comfort’, the Darion EV, designed for families, embodies ‘Evolving Family Moments’, the Eksion EV, in the SUV segment, carries ‘Exploring Family Journeys’, and the Aira ev, in the city car segment, features ‘Fun Everyday, For Everyone’. These five vehicle models reaffirm Wuling’s commitment to delivering products that meet consumer needs while strengthening its contribution to Indonesia’s national automotive industry through vehicles manufactured locally for Indonesian consumers.
