Wuling Eksion, Indonesia’s First 7-Seater SUV with EV and PHEV Technology Arrives in Makassar

Wuling’s latest SUV carrying the spirit of ‘Exploring Family Journeys’ is available in two variants
Makassar, May 19, 2026 – Wuling Motors (Wuling) officially presents the Wuling Eksion in Makassar, South Sulawesi through an exhibition held at Trans Studio Mall Makassar from May 19 to May 24, 2026. The presence of Wuling’s latest 7-seater SUV further expands the choice of electrified vehicles with EV and Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) technology that are flexible in meeting the mobility needs of modern families.
“Through the presence of Wuling Eksion in Makassar, we aim to offer a modern family SUV with EV and Plug-in Hybrid technology that can be tailored to the mobility needs of the community. In line with the spirit of ‘Exploring Family Journeys’, Wuling Eksion combines comfort, efficiency, and modern safety features to support various journeys with family,” explained Ary Santoso as Regional Sales Area of Wuling Motors.
Adopting the Muscular Flowline Design, it showcases a modern SUV character through its X-shaped automatic headlamps and X-shaped rear lamps. This design identity is further strengthened by the distinct character of each variant, such as the honeycomb grille on the Plug-in Hybrid variant and the aerodynamic bumper on the EV variant, along with the use of 18-inch wheels and two-tone color options on selected variants. The vehicle is also supported by McPherson suspension at the front and multi-link independent suspension at the rear, as well as disc brake systems on all four wheels to enhance driving stability and comfort.
Moving to the Superior Comfort aspect, as Wuling’s new front-liner, it offers a spacious 7-seater interior with a walnut brown and carbon black color combination along with soft touch panel accents, supported by ventilated seats and electric seat adjustment in the front row, soundproof double glass, AC with PM2.5 filter, and a panoramic sunroof that creates a more spacious cabin atmosphere. Flexibility is further enhanced through second and third-row seats that can be folded flat to create luggage capacity of up to 1,788 liters, complemented by an electric tailgate, as well as modern features such as a 12.8-inch control screen, 8.8-inch TFT display, ventilated 50W wireless charging, and a multifunction steering wheel for a more practical driving experience.
Under the Ultra-High Efficiency pillar, the Eksion Plug-in Hybrid variant combines a 1.5L dedicated hybrid engine with a Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) and a 20.5 kWh battery, enabling an electric driving range of up to 125 km and a total range of more than 1,000 km (CLTC). Meanwhile, the Eksion EV variant offers a driving range of up to 530 km (CLTC) powered by a 150 kW electric motor with 310 Nm of torque, supported by a 69.2 kWh battery and CCS2 DC fast charging technology to support efficient mobility.
In terms of Versatile Safety, it is equipped with a body structure made of 75% high-strength steel, up to 6 SRS airbags, and ISOFIX, supported by active safety features such as ESC, ABS, EBD, HHC, AVH, and TPMS, as well as Level 2 ADAS technology with 11 intelligent safety functions including ACC, IDA, FCW, AEB, LDW, BSD, LCA, DOW, RCTA, RCW, and IHMA to provide comprehensive protection for users.
Wuling Eksion is marketed in two variants, namely CE and EX, available for both EV and Plug-in Hybrid models. Color options include Archipelago Blue, Haze Grey, Frosty White, and Starry Black. On the EX variant, a two-tone roof appearance is also available on selected colors to deliver a more premium impression.
