Wuling E100 Participates in Electric Vehicle Convoy IEMS 2019

Wuling’s electric car takes the 40 kilometer route from BPPT Thamrin to BPPT Serpong
Tangerang, 8 September 2019 – Wuling Motors (Wuling) took part in the Electric Vehicle Convoy event which was held on Saturday (7/9) in the 2019 Indonesia Electric Motor Show (IEMS) exhibition “Electric Vehicle Smart Transportation”. The distance achieved by Wuling’s first electric car by taking the starting point from the Technology Assessment and Application Agency (BPPT) Thamrin Building, Jakarta, until it ends at BPPT Serpong which is as far as 40 kilometers.
“This is the first time for Wuling E100 to travel with diverse traffic conditions. Our participation in this activity is a form of Wuling’s support for the government in entering the era of electric vehicles in Indonesia in line with the spirit of Drive For A Better Life. We hope that this event can foster public interest in electric cars as an environmentally friendly future vehicle,” said Dian Asmahani as Wuling Motors’ Senior Brand Manager.
Wuling E100 began the journey from the BPPT Building, located in Thamrin, towards Gandaria. In this route, E100 crosses with the traffic conditions in the city which is quite smooth on Saturday morning. Then, the journey continues to enter the JORR toll road (Jakarta Outer Ring Road) leading to Serpong. Wuling E100 also successfully completed this convoy activity by passing the finish line at BPPT Serpong.
Wuling E100 itself is the first electric vehicle from Wuling that applies an electric motor with a lithium battery capable of producing a maximum power of 29 kW and a torque amount of 110 Nm. When the battery is full, the Wuling E100 is able to cover a range of up to 250 kilometers. Regarding the maximum speed, it can speed up to 100 km/hour.
This 2-passenger car from Wuling is a compact size with a minimalist modern exterior body design with a two-tone tone. The front is supported by a retractable outer mirror with LED, fog lamp, projector headlamp, and charging port. Turning to the back side of the E100, Wuling paired a shark fin antenna, rear camera, and parking sensor.
The cabin the E100 carries a modern dashboard shape equipped with futuristic AC ventilation and LCD Cluster. There are also 10 storage compartments on various sides of the Wuling E100’s cabin. To provide entertainment for users, this Wuling electric car is also equipped with entertainment features via Bluetooth, USB, to radio that can be easily adjusted via audio steering control in the steering wheel.
A series of modern features were also applied to the Wuling E100 ranging from keyless entry, start stop button, Electric Parking Brake (EPB), Electric Stability Control (ESC), ABS and EBD braking systems, SRS Airbags, to ISOFIX. Wuling also relies on an automatic transmission with three driving modes namely Eco, Normal and Sport on this electric car.
For additional information, as many as 135 visitors have conducted the Wuling E100 test drive at the 2019 Indonesia Electric Motor Show which was held on 4-5 September 2019 at Balai Kartini, Jakarta.
