Three Years Wuling Motors Moves Together with Indonesia

Cikarang, 13 July 2020 – Last Saturday (11/7), Wuling Motors (Wuling) entered the third year of its journey in Indonesia’s automotive industry. Wuling started its step since the ground-breaking of 60-hectare factory facility and supplier park in Greenland International Center (GIIC), Cikarang, West Java, in August 2015. Then, on July 11th 2017 Wuling’s factory was officially operated, making the date as the company’s anniversary in Indonesia.
Within three years, Wuling has presented its best product line-up, which was the Confero series, Cortez series, Formo, and Almaz with Wuling Indonesian Command (WIND) technology, the first voice command technology with Bahasa Indonesia. Moreover, Wuling always guarantees the sales and aftersales service for consumers through dealer networks, which have reached up to 116 outlets across Indonesia.
“Indonesia is an important market for Wuling’s business development. Therefore, we appreciate all supports given by consumers as well as Wuling’s partners within these three years. We will keep showing our commitment to Indonesia through various products and best service, in line with the theme we bring into this year’s celebration, ‘Bring the Best for Indonesia’,” said Nathan Sun as the Vice President Wuling Motors.

During its three years journey, Wuling has launched various products to fulfill the needs of Indonesian consumers. Confero series, Wuling’s first product that is in the MPV segment, was introduced in August 2017 and received three awards. Moreover, Wuling launched the Cortez series in February 2018, which has been given five awards. Next, in November 2018, Wuling presented Formo that is included in the Light Commercial Vehicle segment. Furthermore, Wuling decided to step into SUV segment by introducing Almaz, which platform has been popular in other region such as Middle East, India and South America.
In Indonesia, Almaz was launched in February 2019. Lastly, Wuling presented a special innovation in Almaz through WIND technology and started to sell it since GIIAS 2019. Through Almaz, Wuling achieved six awards, including two awards of Car of The Year from FORWOT and Gridoto last year. Later, Wuling also expanded its market overseas by exporting SUV-based product in September 2019.
Wuling’s presence in Indonesia automotive industry has received positive responses from the society and now, the number of Wuling customers Wuling goes to 50,000 across the country as well as thousands of loyalists that gathered in three communities. In facilitating the customers to own a vehicle, Wuling also own a captive finance company,namely Wuling Finance which operated from May 9, 2019. In addition, Wuling also has MyWuling+ application that makes it easy for users to access various services, connecting between one customer to another, as well as presenting the latest information from Wuling through application in smartphone, so that Wuling can always get closer to its consumers.
Moreover, Wuling also collaborated with Rumah Zakat to do CSR activity and became the official partner of Bali United to strengthen its contribution to Indonesia. Recently, Wuling also donated to several parties to fight against Covid-19 in Indonesia through the company social responsibility program namely #WithWulingAgainstCorona.
