The Indonesian-market version of Wuling’s commercial EV was unveiled for the first time to fleet customers at the Wuling 8th Anniversary event
Cikarang, July 11, 2025 – In celebration of its 8th anniversary in Indonesia, Wuling Motors (Wuling) held a business preview of the Mitra EV, the brand’s first commercial electric vehicle in the country. This model was introduced as an initial preview before its wider market release. Carrying the spirit of “One Partner, Many Solutions (Satu Rekan Banyak Solusi),” the Mitra EV is targeted at business owners, fleet operators, and logistics service providers in Indonesia. The name “Mitra” is derived from the Indonesian word for partner, reflecting its role as a reliable work companion for its users.
“The name ‘Mitra’ comes from the Indonesian word meaning friend, coworker, or business partner. We introduced the Mitra EV as a dependable electric vehicle, like a trustworthy colleague, designed to offer efficiency and worry-free performance for daily operations. Wuling Mitra EV combines high functionality, efficiency, and is equipped with modern design and features,” said Ricky Christian, Marketing Operation Director of Wuling Motors.
The Wuling Mitra EV is designed to be multifunctional and suitable for a wide range of business operations. It boasts a spacious cargo capacity of up to 6.5 m³, making it ideal for various commercial needs. Its practicality is enhanced by dual sliding doors, asymmetrical rear doors with a 270º opening angle, and multiple interior storage compartments such as door trims, a glove box, and a center console. Driver comfort is supported through features like tilt steering adjustment and a 4-way adjustable seat.
In line with its positioning as a modern business partner, Mitra EV is equipped with contemporary safety features including airbags, ABS and EBD braking systems for stability, and parking sensors for safer maneuvering. To enhance driving comfort, it also offers modern driving features such as, Eco, Normal, and Sport driving modes, power windows, and a futuristic rotary shift selector. Its exterior is further enhanced with sleek projector LED headlamps.
Understanding the importance of operational efficiency, the Mitra EV offers low operating costs thanks to its energy-efficient performance, minimal maintenance needs, and lower annual taxes compared to conventional vehicles. Additionally, this electric vehicle is exempt from odd-even traffic restrictions. It provides a driving range of up to 400 km on a single charge and supports fast charging from 30% to 80% in just 30 minutes.
As Wuling’s first commercial EV, the Mitra EV is powered by the MAGIC BATTERY, specifically engineered for commercial applications. This battery technology features an intelligent thermal management system, an aerospace-inspired M.U.S.T structure, and robust, high-quality battery cells for enhanced reliability.
“To support your business operations, Mitra EV is available in two models: minibus and blind van, offered in two exterior colors—Polar White and Mountain Grey,” added Ricky Christian.
