28 journalists completed the 1,200 kilometer route with Darion without refueling gasoline or electricity
Jakarta, November 19, 2025 – Wuling Motors (Wuling) concludes the second batch of the Darion ‘Evolving Family Moments ’Media Drive, which has taken place from 17 November 2025 until today. In this journey, 28 national media journalists traveled the Bali-Jakarta route together with 7 (seven) units of the Wuling Darion PHEV and successfully reached the finish line in Jakarta without refueling gasoline or electricity. This second batch once again proves the efficiency, durability, and comfort of the Darion PHEV as Wuling’s first electrified MPV in Indonesia.
“We appreciate the participation and enthusiasm of the media colleagues who joined this Bali-Jakarta journey. The long route traveled over three days served as direct proof of how the Wuling Darion PHEV is able to deliver energy efficiency, strong performance, and cabin comfort in various road conditions. We also congratulate all teams for successfully completing the How Far Can You Go Challenge with impressive results. Supported by these achievements, this further reinforces the competence of the Wuling Darion PHEV as a family vehicle ready for long-distance travel,” explained Ricky Christian, Marketing Director of Wuling Motors.

All Darion units maintained their performance throughout the journey by maximizing the work of the Ling Power Hybrid System, which intelligently manages the combination of power between the electric motor and the gasoline engine. In addition, the Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) also played a role in ensuring smooth and efficient power delivery, even when facing diverse road conditions ranging from coastal roads, hills, toll roads, to congestion in urban areas.
“Throughout the journey from Bali to Jakarta, media colleagues were able to further explore and try all the Driving Modes and Energy Modes available on the Darion PHEV. With the proper selection of modes such as Eco, Standard, and Sport, as well as energy settings including EV Max, EV First, HEV, and Fuel Priority. During this long trip, we saw that each team was able to manage their driving strategy optimally and once again succeeded in completing the long route without performing any refueling,” said Danang Wiratmoko, Product Communication Manager Wuling Motors.

The comfort offered by the Wuling Darion PHEV also became one of the key highlights throughout the journey. Supported by a 2+2+3 cabin configuration, electric captain seats with ventilation, spacious legroom, and an interior dominated by Walnut Brown and Carbon Black, the driving experience remained comfortable until the final day. The air-conditioning system equipped with a PM2.5 filter also ensured that the cabin air quality remained well-maintained during the long inter-provincial journey.
This second batch of the Media Drive was divided into three main stages, starting from Bali to Banyuwangi with a distance of 148 kilometers, followed by a trip to Solo covering around 520 kilometers, and concluded with the last stage from Solo to Jakarta covering approximately 530 kilometers. Each stage presented different road characteristics and traffic situations ranging from coastal routes, mountain curves, to the long and stable Trans-Java toll road, giving participants the opportunity to experience the Darion PHEV’s performance comprehensively.

The units used were the Wuling Darion PHEV EX type, the highest variant equipped with complete features such as Level 2 ADAS, Electric Captain Seat with Ventilated Seat, English-version Wuling Indonesian Command, Auto-Comfort Sliding Door, sunroof, six airbags, and various modern features. All exterior color options of the Darion were also presented in this activity, ranging from Haze Grey, Frosty White, Starry Black, to Orchid Purple.
With the completion of this Bali–Jakarta route, Wuling once again reinforces its commitment to presenting electrified vehicles that are not only efficient but also comfortable, tough, and ready to be used for long-distance journeys for consumers in Indonesia.
