Jakarta, April 22, 2026 – Wuling Motors (Wuling) officially launched the Wuling Eksion at the Grand Launching event titled “Exploring Family Journeys” today (4/22) at the Main Atrium, Mall Kota Kasablanka, Jakarta. The presence of this latest 7-seater SUV marks Wuling’s strategic step in strengthening its electrified vehicle lineup in Indonesia, while also delivering a family mobility solution that is more efficient, comfortable, and relevant to today’s consumer needs.
This launch continues Wuling’s success in introducing electrified vehicles in the family segment. This is reflected in the positive response to Darion, which has achieved domestic sales of 5,000 units since its launch. Beyond the domestic market, Darion has also begun expanding internationally through exports to Brunei Darussalam, Hong Kong, and other countries. As Indonesia’s first MPV equipped with EV and Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) technology, Darion has also received multiple awards, including Best EV MPV and Best Medium MPV at IIMS 2026, as well as Best Electrified Family Car at the Uzone Choice Award 2026.

In line with this trend, Wuling sees that the SUV segment contributes 29% to the total automotive market in Indonesia. Of this figure, around 33% consists of New Energy Vehicle (NEV) SUVs, reflecting the growing acceptance of electrification technology among consumers. This also aligns with the needs of family consumers who prioritize 7-seater vehicles that offer spacious cabins and support a wide range of mobility activities, both for daily use and family trips.
Throughout its development journey, Wuling has recorded more than 40,000 SUVs in use by consumers across Indonesia. This journey began with the introduction of Almaz as a turbocharged SUV, followed by Almaz RS equipped with Wuling Interconnected Smart Ecosystem (WISE), then Almaz Hybrid with electrification technology, and Alvez in the compact SUV segment. This product lineup reflects Wuling’s commitment to delivering continuous innovation that remains relevant to the market.
