Wuling Wins the Title of Indonesia’s Electric Vehicle Industry Driver at Detikcom Awards 2025

Recognition for Wuling’s commitment to the automotive industry through its domestically produced EV lineup
Jakarta, November 25, 2025 – Wuling Motors (Wuling) once again reinforces its position as a pioneer of electric vehicles in Indonesia after receiving recognition at the Detikcom Awards 2025. In the Economic Growth & Digital Ecosystem Award category, Wuling was awarded the title of Indonesia’s Electric Vehicle Industry Driver. This honor reflects Wuling’s consistency in presenting a wide range of electric vehicles produced in Indonesia as well as its significant contribution in accelerating the transition toward environmentally friendly mobility.
Since entering Indonesia in 2017, Wuling has remained committed to developing the national automotive ecosystem. Through its manufacturing facility in Cikarang, West Java, Wuling has become one of the automotive brands that produce electric vehicles with an increasing level of local content. As of today, all Wuling EV models have reached more than 40 percent Domestic Component Level (TKDN), including the Air ev, BinguoEV, Cloud EV, Darion EV in the passenger car segment, and the Mitra EV in the commercial vehicle segment.

At this award ceremony, Detikcom highlighted Wuling as a driving force in Indonesia’s electric vehicle industry. Strengthening the domestic electric vehicle industry is an important requirement for Indonesia to promote technological independence, increase national added value, and expand employment opportunities in the automotive sector of the future.
Through local production of electric vehicles with high local content (TKDN), a continuously expanding range of models, and the presence of a large-scale factory in Cikarang since 2017, Wuling Motors has made a significant contribution to strengthening the national EV industry structure and driving a manufacturing-based economy. Efforts to introduce electric vehicle lines such as the Air ev, BinguoEV, Cloud EV, Mitra EV, and Darion EV position Wuling as one of the main drivers of Indonesia’s electric vehicle ecosystem development.
The Detikcom Awards 2025 is the culmination of Detikcom’s annual recognition program, honoring outstanding achievements across various sectors for their dedication and contributions to Indonesia. The award selection process began with an assessment committee that evaluated and analyzed data on company, brand, and product achievements from numerous industries that have demonstrated positive, adaptive, and transformative impact in today’s digital era.
