Wuling Darion Available in EV and PHEV Options and Offered in Two Variants

A 7-seater family vehicle that combines practicality with a wide range of smart driving features
Tangerang Regency, November 5, 2025 – Wuling Motors (Wuling) continued the series of Wuling Darion launch events held at Spike Airdome, PIK 2 by conducting a media briefing to present the technical specifications of each Darion variant. During this session, Wuling introduced the innovations and key features of Darion, designed to meet the needs of modern families for a spacious, comfortable, and advanced vehicle.
“Wuling Darion is offered in both EV and PHEV options, each available in two trims: CE and EX. Both trims share the same exterior design concept, interior, and overall dimensions. These variants are presented to provide flexibility for family customers according to their mobility needs,” said Aji Ibrahim, Product Planning of Wuling Motors.
Wuling Darion measures 4,910 mm in length, 1,870 mm in width, and 1,770 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,910 mm, offering an ergonomic and spacious 7-seater cabin. The vehicle is equipped with disc brakes on both front and rear wheels for optimal braking, while the McPherson front suspension and Multi-link Independent rear suspension deliver maximum comfort on various road conditions. Its exterior is enhanced by 17-inch Machined Alloy wheels with 215/55 R17 tires, and the Electric Power Steering system ensures light and precise handling in every maneuver.
Powered by Wuling’s latest electrification technology, the Wuling Darion EV is equipped with a 150 kW (201 HP) electric motor that produces 310 Nm of torque, delivered to the front wheels via a Single Reduction transmission. Its power source is a 69.2 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate battery that provides a driving range of up to 540 km (CLTC) with a Front-Wheel-Drive configuration. Meanwhile, the Darion PHEV combines a 1,490 cc Naturally Aspirated Atkinson-cycle gasoline engine with a 145 kW (195 HP) electric motor producing 230 Nm of torque. The conventional engine generates 105 HP at 5,800 rpm and 130 Nm of torque at 4,600–5,000 rpm, paired with a Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) to ensure smooth and efficient power delivery. Equipped with a 20.5 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate battery, the Darion PHEV can travel up to 125 km in pure electric mode (CLTC) and is supported by a 52-liter fuel tank, maintaining a Front-Wheel-Drive layout.
To make family activities easier, Darion is equipped with practical features that can be operated electrically. The Smart Electric Tailgate can be opened in four different ways, namely via the 12.8-inch control screen, remote key, voice command, and tailgate switch, making it easy to access the trunk without any hassle. The Electric Sunroof can be operated in three ways, namely via the 12.8-inch control screen, voice command, and headlining switch. Meanwhile, the Autocomfort Sliding Door can also be opened and closed in five easy ways via the 12.8-inch control screen, remote key, voice command, headlining switch, and door switch, providing maximum comfort when getting in and out of the vehicle.
Inside, Darion’s cabin is designed with a 2+2+3 configuration that offers spacious comfort in every row. The distance between rows reaches 230 mm, and the second-row seats can recline up to 180° for a more relaxing resting position. With a cabin height of over 1,200 mm, the interior feels airy and open, while the third-row seats feature a 127° backrest angle, 490 mm cushion length, and 1,230 mm width, ensuring lasting comfort even on long trips.
All vehicle systems can be accessed through the 12.8-inch touchscreen display that serves as the main interface between driver and vehicle. Its primary menu includes controls for Lighting, Sound, AC, and Driving Modes, while the Driving page displays Drive Assist, Energy, and Appcenter options. This system is also integrated with the IoV (Internet of Vehicle), enabling users to monitor battery status, charging schedule, and driving mode remotely.
The Wuling Darion is available in two main variants, CE and EX, for both EV and PHEV versions. All variants feature a classy interior with a combination of Walnut Brown & Carbon Black colors, captain seats with synthetic leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with multifunction buttons, and soft touch interior panels.
