Tangerang Regency, November 5, 2025 – Wuling Motors (Wuling) officially introduced the Wuling Darion to the public during “The Premiere Launch of Wuling Darion” event held at Spike Air Dome, PIK 2. The presence of Darion marks an important milestone for Wuling in expanding its electrified vehicle innovation within the family car segment. Designed and produced in Indonesia, Wuling Darion offers a blend of premium design, comfort, technology, and efficiency tailored to meet the mobility needs of modern families.
“Darion comes from the phrase ‘Dari Indonesia (From Indonesia),’ carrying the spirit of Evolving Family Moments. It is the first MPV in Indonesia to offer both EV and PHEV variants, bringing a new story for families. Wuling Darion combines design, comfort, technology, and efficiency to create memorable journeys together. This MPV is not only produced in Indonesia but also reflects the values and lifestyle of Indonesian families,” explained Ricky Christian, Marketing Operation Director of Wuling Motors.
In terms of exterior design, Wuling Darion showcases a balance of elegance and streamline aesthetics that define a modern family vehicle. Its sleek body lines contribute to improved aerodynamics, while the PHEV variant features a distinctive Diamond Cut Grille. Both PHEV and EV variants are equipped with X-shaped front and rear lamps, 17-inch alloy wheels with a modern center cap, and hidden sliding door rails that create a clean, unified look. Every design element emphasizes harmony between functionality and style.
Inside, Darion’s cabin is designed to deliver maximum comfort for all family members. As a medium 7-seater MPV with the longest body and wheelbase in its class, Darion provides generous space in every row. The Autocomfort Sliding Door ensures effortless access, while the ventilated electric captain seats in the second row enhance flexibility and relaxation. Its cargo area offers up to 1,202 liters of storage capacity, providing ample room for family travel essentials.
The cabin atmosphere is elevated through the use of premium Walnut Brown leather upholstery combined with Carbon Black panels, creating a warm and elegant ambiance. The ergonomically contoured seats offer excellent support for every passenger, ensuring comfort on long journeys. The air conditioning system is equipped with a PM2.5 filter to maintain clean and fresh air throughout the cabin.
To ensure safety in every journey, Darion is equipped with a comprehensive range of safety features, including six airbags, ISOFIX mounts on the second and third rows, a 360° Surround View Camera, ABS, EBD, ESC, EPB, AVH, and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). The vehicle structure is built using high-strength steel to enhance protection and maintain stability across various driving conditions.
Technology also plays a vital role in enhancing convenience and comfort. The 12.8-inch high-definition control screen serves as the central hub for vehicle settings and entertainment, featuring smartphone interconnection, wireless charging, and six speakers that deliver an enjoyable in-car experience. Additional features such as the electric sunroof, power tailgate, and auto-folding mirrors further elevate daily practicality.
Driving efficiency is another hallmark of the Darion, available in two electrified powertrain options. The EV variant is powered by a 150-kilowatt electric motor, MAGIC Battery Pro with a driving range of up to 540 kilometers (CLTC) and supports DC fast charging for quick recharging. Meanwhile, the PHEV variant combines a 1,498 cc gasoline engine with Ling Power. It can travel up to 125 kilometers (CLTC) in full EV mode and up to 1,000 kilometers in total range, offering flexibility for various driving needs.
