Jakarta, August 14, 2025 – Wuling Motors (Wuling) achieved a proud milestone in the national automotive scene at the 2025 Indonesia Automotive Awards, organized by iNews today (9/8) at the Main Lobby of iNews Tower, Central Jakarta. The Wuling New Air ev was honored with the Inspiring Green Mobility title. This award recognizes the role of the New Air ev in inspiring the public to switch to environmentally friendly electric vehicles, while accelerating the adoption of sustainable mobility in Indonesia.

The 2025 Indonesia Automotive Awards was held as a form of appreciation for automotive industry players who bring innovation, technology, and outstanding products to the Indonesian citizens. Judging was carried out by the iNews automotive editorial team through comprehensive testing, analysis, and evaluation of performance, features, technology, as well as contributions to the industry and the environment. The Inspiring Green Mobility award was given to the Wuling New Air ev for its role in promoting eco-friendly mobility and inspiring more people to shift to electric vehicles.
Building on the success of the Air ev, which made its global debut in Indonesia in August 2022, the Wuling New Air ev comes as a compact electric vehicle offering convenient urban driving and energy efficiency. The New Air ev is a compact electric vehicle carrying the tagline “Your Everyday Vehicle”. Manufactured at Wuling’s plant in Cikarang, West Java, it offers user-friendly benefits such as easy to use, easy home charging, and easy to own. This combination of three aspects provides convenience for users both in driving and in vehicle ownership, making the New Air ev a practical mobility solution for urban environments.
Powered by an electric motor with a maximum output of 30 kW paired with a Single Reduction Gear transmission, the New Air ev is available with two Lithium Ferro-Phosphate (LFP) battery capacity options: 17.3 kWh for a range of up to 200 km and 26.7 kWh for up to 300 km. Safety features include a high-strength steel frame, rearview camera, parking sensors, ABS, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and airbags for optimal protection. The New Air ev is also equipped with smart technologies such as the Wuling Remote Control App via MyWuling+ and the Indonesian voice command feature, Wuling Indonesian Command (WIND), enhancing user convenience.
In 2025, the Wuling New Air ev has collected various prestigious awards, including Best of Light EV at the 2025 OTOMOTIF Award, Cross-Channel Product Campaign at the 2025 Marketeers Omni Brand of the Year, and Best Brand Electric City Car from the Solopos Best Brand and Innovation (SBBI) Awards 2025.
