Wuling Bakti Pendidikan Donates Engine for Vocational Schools and Universities in Central Java and Yogyakarta

A total of 120 engines for Central Java and 120 engines for Special Region of Yogyakarta
Central Java, 28 June 2024 – Welcoming the seven years of Wuling’s journey in Indonesia in July 2024, Wuling Motors (Wuling) held the ‘Wuling Bakti Pendidikan’ program in Central Java and Yogyakarta. Wuling provided ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) engines to several vocational schools and universities, including 120 engine units for 98 vocational schools and 2 universities in Central Java and 120 engine units for 69 vocational schools and 4 universities in Yogyakarta. Wuling handed over a total of 240 units of engines as practical objects, learning modules, and service manuals were also provided as a guideline for students.
“In celebration of Wuling’s 7th anniversary, we continue the Wuling Bakti Pendidikan program by donating 240 units of engines to vocational schools and universities in Central Java and Yogyakarta. To upgrade the students’ practical learning experience in the automotive field, we want to facilitate the transfer of knowledge from the industry to mentors and learners, as well as support the development of a talented and competitive workforce in the automotive industry. We hope this program can strengthen the capacity of educational institutions to provide comprehensive technical courses and training. We hope that this collaboration will provide great and sustainable benefits for the vocational education ecosystem in Indonesia for a better future, in line with the spirit of ‘Drive for A Better Life’,” explained Arif Pramadana, Vice President of Wuling Motors.
Each engine unit handed over to the school will become a practical tool for the students to develop their skills in disassembling and reassembling the engine components. As a supplement for theory and guidance, Wuling also provides service manuals and learning modules in the form of curriculum books that will help students understand all the core components and functions of the machines used.
Wuling initiated this year’s Bakti Pendidikan by providing engines to some vocational schools and universities in Central Java province which was realized through a handover ceremony held at SMKN 2 Salatiga on June 26, 2024. There were 120 units of engines given to 98 vocational schools and 2 universities in Central Java.
Ainun Rojik, Head of Vocational Development Division of Central Java Provincial Education and Culture Office expressed his appreciation for Wuling Bakti Pendidikan program. “Wuling has made significant progress in this area, bringing the vocational world to a more advanced direction. Collaboration with industry is a necessity in revitalizing vocational education. Without any involvement by the industry, vocational education will be less effective. Link and Match between industry and vocational education is essential, and the industry must collaborate in improving the world of vocational education, especially in Central Java. By synergizing, Wuling and vocational schools in Central Java will be more advanced,” he said.
Moreover, Wuling continued this program with a handover event held at SMK Muhamadiyah Imogiri on June 27, 2024 to 69 vocational schools and 4 universities in the province of D.I. Yogyakarta. A total of 120 units of ICE engines were donated to these vocational schools and universities for students’ study and practice in the automotive field.
“This donation is very relevant to the vocational schools field and is expected to be utilized as much as possible by students. Hopefully this facility can be used creatively, innovatively, and productively. We hope that vocational schools will continue to increase cooperation with the world of work, especially in the automotive field, to create batches of workforce that are ready to compete and contribute to industrial development.” explained Dr. Drs. Wardani Sugiyanto, M.Pd., Director of Vocational Schools at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology.
Wuling Bakti Pendidikan is an initiative program from Wuling that has been running since 2021 by collaborating with SMK Taruna Bangsa – Pati, SMK Muhammadiyah Imogiri, and SMK Negeri 1 Singosari. Furthermore, Wuling inaugurated its initiative with Yogyakarta State University (UNY) in 2022. The Wuling Bakti Pendidikan program focuses on contributing to the education sector in Indonesia. The program aims to support and improve the quality of education and students by assisting in the form of educational facilities, training, and various other forms of support.
