Jakarta, 1 June 2022 – Opening a new chapter in the development of electric vehicles in Indonesia, Wuling Motors (Wuling) today premiered the exterior of its prototype EV that will be marketed in the country. In the pre-launch event titled Electrify Your World, Wuling showed the shape of the electric vehicle whose external appearance can be seen by the public at Laguna Atrium Central Park, Jakarta until June 5, 2022.
“For Wuling, innovation is the main pillar in presenting products that suit the needs of the Indonesian people. This is certainly driven by the spirit of Drive For A Better Life, because we believe that every innovation plays a role in bringing about a better life for everyone. The electric car innovation that we will market in Indonesia carries a future-tech design language that describes the appearance of vehicles from the future,” explained Dian Asmahani as Brand & Marketing Director of Wuling Motors.
Regarding the futuristic and unique front design, the Wuling’s protoype electric vehicle uses an Extended Horizon LED Daytime Running Light combined with chrome strips and black trim. This aesthetically pleasing LED DRL design has good aerodynamics. Then, the Illuminous Wuling logo on the front also adds a modern impression that makes it very different from other Wuling product lines.
Turning to the side, there is a futuristic rearview mirror with a floating design but still sturdy to give a light impression. The aero-craft cabin window which is in the second row further sharpens the future elements of this Wuling electric vehicle. This unique window shape certainly not only enhances the driving experience but is also unique in appearance.
Overall, this GSEV-based Wuling’s prototype electric car carries a versatile compact design that makes it easy to use and drive, also easy to be parked in various traffic conditions in the city. Curved-tech body line combined with a minimalist dual-tone color scheme makes this vehicle look stylish as well.
“With the combination of a compact size, future tech design, and ease of use, the upcoming Wuling electric vehicle is expected to be able to meet the mobility needs and support the modern lifestyle of its users in Indonesia, by prioritizing practicality and functionality,” added Dian Asmahani.
For additional information, this Wuling EV will be produced at the Wuling factory facility located in Cikarang, West Java to meet domestic demand. Wuling is also preparing the support ecosystem of electric vehicle so that it can provide the best service when this product be launched later.
